Community Based Connections
In-home parenting education program provided weekly by Bachelor’s level staff using the “Effective Black Parenting” national Best Practice model supplemented with the “Confident Parenting” curriculum to serve families at risk of abuse and neglect. Two value-added components include a mentoring program for 15 boys in partnership with Koinonia Development Corp. and a program seeking to engage absent fathers. The program services South Broward County, primarily West Park and adjacent areas.
