This is the pedal-powered, two-passenger pedicab, a time-tested and essential form of transportation used in resorts worldwide. Made in Denver, Colorado, its 14-gauge steel alloy frame supports the lightweight molded fiberglass cab. The cab’s seat and back are padded vinyl upholstery, and an adjustable canvas canopy shields riders from the sun. Requiring no more effort to pedal than a standard multi-speed bicycle, it uses a 21-gear Shimano mountain bike drive differential system that employs a lower gear ratio than normal, allowing drivers to haul up to 600 lbs. Double-walled, extra-wide mountain bike aluminum rims withstand rough terrain while its spring shocks provide a smooth ride. Assertive stops are provided by a hydraulic rear disc brake system–the same used in racing go-carts–augmented by a front v-brake; includes LED brake lights. Its LED headlight and turn signals are controlled from the handlebar switch, powered by a 12-volt rechargeable battery that provides 1 1/2 hours of light from a three-hour charge using the included AC adapter.
