Join us for knitting, crocheting, crafting, and snacks! Enjoy spinning demonstrations from local spinners, swap yarn, make new friends, and much more. We’ll have Dr. Alexis Bergan-Guzman on hand with super tips and demonstrations especially for crafters. Fun for all ages.
Please bring your projects! We’re going to have a stash trade so bring any yarn you want to destash and go home with some new ones!
FREE 38″x37″ Waffle Blanket Knitting Pattern
LaLaine light worsted/DK: 4.5 skeins (455gm/1.01#)
Circular size 8 needle
Pattern Stitch:
Row 1: knit all stitches
Row 2: purl all stitches
Row 3: k2, * p1, yo, k2 tog through the back loops, * repeat * to * to last stitch, k1.
Row 4: p2 *k1 (through the back loop, twisting stitch) k1, p1*, end k1.
Blanket:
Cast on 168 stitches
Follow pattern stitch until you have completed 62 repeats. Knit one row, bind off stitches purlwise.
Do not cut yarn.
Row 1: Using size G crochet hook, work one single crochet in back loop of each bound off stitch. At corner, work 3 SCs. Continue along the side, working 3 SCs for every 4 rows (e.g. work on sc in the *bump, bar, bump* and repeat * to * the length of the blanket. SC 3 to form corner and SC in each cast on stitch. Make corner and 2nd side as before.
Row 2: single crochet in back loop of each stitch around, working 2 stitches in the center stitch at each corner.
Row 3: * chain 3, skip one, slip stitch into next stitch*. Repeat * to * around.
Row 4: *chain 2, slip stitch into chain 3 from row 3* . Repeat * to * around.
Wash/dry and block if necessary.

FREE Snake City Knitting Pattern
Worsted weight yarn (I used Nature Spun).
2 dpns size US 6. Work around (I-cord).
Cast on 4 sts. (After each round, do not turn work, slide sts to right end of needle, pull yarn to tighten.)
Round 1: k4
Round 2: k1, m1, k2, m1, k1
Round 3: knit 6
Round 4: k1, m1, k4, m1, k1
Round 5: knit 8
Round 6: ssk, k4, k2tog
Round 7: knit 6
Round 8: ssk, k2, k2tog
Round 9: knit 4
Continue to knit around on 4 sts until the snake measures about 5 1/2-6 inches.

cut end and pull through. Embroider eyes and affix red tongue and then tie a small piece of yarn around snake’s ‘neck’.
