The Starting Place provides outpatient substance abuse and mental health services to children, teens, young adults and their families. Our services include assessments, individual counseling, family counseling, case management, psycho-educational and therapy groups, psychiatric services, school based services, and aftercare/continuing care. Services are office-based and in-home and school-based. Our hours are tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Fees are based on a sliding scale and we also accept a few different insurances.
Q: How much does The Starting Place cost?
A: The Starting Place is a 501(c3) non-profit organization. Cost for services varies by program and service, but most programs are of little or no cost, or operate on a sliding scale. The agency accepts Medicaid and many other sources. Some programs may require a fee for service based on a sliding fee scale. The Starting Place is committed to making treatment possible and affordable.
Q: Do you offer services for adults?
A: Yes. The Starting Place offers services to adults with substance abuse issues through its Outpatient Department. Family therapy also is offered through a number of different programs and services. An assessment can determine which ones are right for each individual and their family.
