B.R.E.A.K. programs provide respite services to families with children ages 3-13 with emotional and behavioral disorders. Respite is a preventative strategy that strengthens families and protects family health and well-being. These services provide needed relief to parents and caregivers and are consistent with the core values developed by the One Community Partnership (OCP) initiative in collaboration with the mental health community. Respite programs embrace practices that are family-focused and that build upon existing support systems in the community. Assessments are strength-based and services are individualized based on the family’s needs.
