A 9-year-old Pomeranian mix, in need of emergency surgery, was abandoned outside
of the Animal Welfare Society located at 2601 SW 27th Avenue in Miami, Florida.
Founded in 1972, this not-for-profit animal hospital typically works with low-income pet owners,
and the desperate couple knew that this loving hospital would give the dog the care it needed.
Animal Welfare Society of South Florida is a not-for-profit 501-C-3 full service, low-cost animal facility that provides quality conventional veterinary care for pets. […] We make the difference for the families who have to decide between the rent money or the medical care for their sick or injured pet, we are their only hope.
