Yields: 40 cookies

INGREDIENTS

for Basic Cookie Dough
•  1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
•  3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
•  1 egg
•  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•  1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
•  1/4 teaspoon salt
•  1/4 teaspoon baking soda

for Oatmeal Cookies
•  1 cup rolled oats
•  3/4 cup raisins
•  1/2 cup chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

PREPARE Basic Cookie Dough as directed.

BEAT in 1 cup rolled oats, 3/4 cup raisins, and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Lightly spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.

DROP cookies by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets.

BAKE for 10 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Let set 1 minute. Remove to wire rack to cool.

NOTES
