FREE MEALS IN BROWARD COUNTY
Emergency Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens & Food Banks
A food collection challenge made in April by Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis to mayors countywide was answered with 10,073 pounds of food.
“Summer usually brings empty shelves,” said David Esposito, development director for The Pantry of Broward. “It’s a bad time for people in need. Kids are out of school, donors go out of state, everything just slows down for food and money donations.”
